Wilton Peace Action is coordinating bus transportation to the 350.org People's Climate Mobilization, in Washington, DC, 29-April-2017. This is a march about Climate, Justice and Jobs. At the end of Trump's first 100 days in office, the event is intended to a unifying gathering to stand up for communities and climate. The capital march route and gathering locations are still being finalized.
We are looking to fill a 55 person chartered bus leaving from Milford, NH on the night of 28-April, arriving Washington, DC the morning of 29-April, where the march will assemble around 11 am. The bus will depart Washington, the evening of 29-April and return to Milford in the early morning hours of 30-April. We are still negotiating the rates, however the all-in-cost will not exceed $90 per person.
Tentatively, a bus schedule from Milford looks as follows:
Depart Milford, NH 28-April 9:00pm
Arrive Washington, DC 29-April 8:00am
Depart Washington, DC 29-April 7:00pm
Arrive Milford, NH 30-April 4:00am
February 28, 2017 Potluck Dinner
The Hollis Dems are hosting a Winter Potluck Dinner at 6:30pm on Tuesday, February 28th, at the Lawrence Barn. Your donation of a salad, entree, appetizer or dessert is welcomed starting at 6:00pm.
Our special guest speaker, Nick Taylor, Director of NH House & Senate Democrats, will give a short talk followed by Q & A starting at 7pm on "Where do we go from here?"
Please come see what you can learn and do, to make 2017 great again!
There is no cost for the dinner but donations are cheerfully accepted. No alcohol is allowed at the Barn, what we lack in wine, we'll make up for with good company. We look forward to seeing friends, old and new.
